Dear Raiders!

The big day has finally come and we're happy to announce the Winners of our TR Card Design contest!

It was a very demanding project given the amount of designs you were supposed to do, so we want to wholeheartedly thank each and every one of our awesome participants :heart:

As in our previous contest, the judging was done by awarding each entry with a certain amount of points in 3 different criteria accordingly to their strongest aspects! There were 3 of us judges, and each entry could have won between 9 to 90 points.

And now, the most anticipated part :la:




RAIDERS' CHOICE – 4th place

    Valley of Kings - Tomb Raider Classic Card Deck by jwebsterart

Valley of Kings – Tomb Raider Classic Card deck by jwebsterart is our people's choice, the 4th winner of our contest. Such beautiful design, it was one of our highest rated entries as well! Sincerest congrats :heart:




This participant will receive:

1 month premium membership, a collaboration commission (1 character, simple background) from the founders Pencil-Stencil and Inna-Vjuzhanina


3RD PLACE

Atlantean playing cards by KeithByrne is our 3rd place winner with his awesome Atlantean inspired set of designs. Amazing interpretation of the very essence of classic Tomb Raider. Well-chosen motif cleverly showing through in each card, very interesting concept and great execution. And that Joker card! Can you possibly suppress a smile looking at Torso’s hilariously creepy face? – a well deserved spot among the winners! :D Would you be game? ;)




This participant will receive:

3 months premium membership, a  collaboration commission (up to 2 characters, complex background) from the founders Pencil-Stencil and Inna-Vjuzhanina


2ND PLACE

    Tomb Raider Card Design by alienmasked

Tomb Raider Gold edition collection cards by alienmasked  is one of the most elaborate entries in the contest when it comes to idea and concept! Apart from the obvious technical skill input to so many detailed sceneries, the best thing about this entry is that it symbolically represents the golden era of Tomb Raider, hence why all the main motives are painted in gold! But that's not all, there's a special secret in one of the cards, where the Egyptian hyeroglyphs on the pillar actually spell Lara Croft Tomb Raider! Kudos for skill and creativity :heart:



2ND PLACE

Cards by JhoCorrea

Tomb Raider Playing Cards by JhoCorrea is a great example of using simplicity and turning it into something stunning – The design that catches your eye right from the thumbnail. Exciting shape language, clean and striking design along with very meaningful concept make this entry a definite gem of the competition. Very stylized and unique,  this amazing set represents a journey of a Tomb Raider overcoming obstacles like traps, puzzles and enemies to finally obtain the main prize – the artifact! :heart:



That's right, these 2 awesome raiders got the same amount of points and they will both receive:

1ST PLACE

    Contest Cards Design - Tomb Raider by Croft094

Our winning piece by Croft094 is truly amazing and unique! The artist revolved the idea around basic playing cards incorporating many of the faces of Lara Croft from classic to reboot. He used an amazing technique of just paint splashing to create his artworks which was original and brave! Turned out more than well, this was our top favorite when it came to the overall design - the cards were made to look both modern and archaic and each card individually looks like a minimal movie poster! :D  


This participant will receive:

Golden Edition of Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris (Lara Croft mini figurine, the map of the Overworld, the Art Book, the game itself for the platform of their choice)

Each of the winners excelled in their own particular area, whose strongest sides combined resulted in victory. The entries are all so different, so we're glad we've had our brave raiders get the most of their creativity and ideas, cause that was exactly the point of this contest! Thank you for this opportunitty,and to everyone who liked my design.Even though is simple,I put a lot of work in it :D
